The album Here Comes the Rain, Mama! has twelve tracks in a variety of styles and moods, from the meaty big vocal harmonies of the title track to the searing blues guitar instrumental, The Imposter, from the tongue-in-cheek humour of Dolly Latex (not a vulgar song despite its title) to a moving tribute entitled The World Sings for You and an irresistible melody in the ballad, Don’t You Know Who I Am?
There is an underlying theme to the album that might not be obvious at first hearing, with a simple-sounding but deceptively clever Reprise track bringing together lines from every other track in the collection. This beautifully presented album includes a full-colour 12-page glossy booklet of lyrics, artwork and info, with paintings by John Bartram on the front and back inlays.
